My Thoughts
I am a coffee drinker. I would have it in IV form if possible. I have literally four different kinds of coffee makers on my counter. Yet whenever I left the house I was spending four or five dollars on a latte. I have tried espresso makers and latte makers before but they never tasted like a real coffee house latte. They were always a let down--until now. OMG! I think I just died and went to latte heaven. The Mr. Coffee Latte Machine is hands down the best product I have reviewed in the last three years! I love it. I adore it. It has made my life complete! Let me tell you why...
I think I established that I love coffee and lattes. With this machine I can make them quickly and easily. You add the espresso and the milk (I prefer 2 % but to each his own) to the machine. Turn it on, and in a few minutes, you have the perfect latte. You just press one button, and there you have it. The whole concoction mixes right in the pot, complete with extra creamy froth. You don't have to stand there and hold your cup under the frother. Its built into the pot. Make it as strong or as weak as you like. Add some flavoring or whip cream. The options are limitless. And believe it or not, this latte really does taste like those $5 lattes from the coffee house. This is like having a coffee house right in my kitchen! Only this is a much cheaper option. You can save hundreds of dollars a year and have your latte at your fingertips whenever you want it.
Clean up is easy too. The last latte machine I had had one of those nozzles on the side for frothing, and it always got clogged and I never felt like it got really clean. The Mr. Coffee Latte Machine just needs a quick rinse in the sink. Its not dishwasher safe, you will have it wash it by hand, but I tend to do that with my coffee makers anyway, so I don't consider it an inconvenience. Really, it only takes a a minute.
Are there any down sides to the latte machine? Well, my husband might tell you the fact that I'm running around the house like a supercharged caffeine freak is a down side, but aside from that....there is nothing negative I can say about this product. I love it! It will easily make my top ten products of the year, and I wouldn't be surprised if its my number one pick. I have always been a fan of Mr. Coffee. I also just bought myself one of their single cup coffee brewers and I love that too. But this machine...I just adore it. It will hold a place of honor in my kitchen for all time! If you love lattees, you have to get one.
