Today (October 13) is National Costume Swap Day - a truly nifty way to go green this Halloween and a great way to save money, too. Hundreds of communities across the country will gather this weekend to “swap” old costumes for new as a way to celebrate Halloween in an environmentally friendly and affordable way.

If you are not able to make it to a costume swap event today, consider hosting one of your own. Your friends will certainly be appreciative and it's a great way to show children the values of sharing and re-purposing.
